✓ Rochester Sensors TEK 888 LoRa 915MHz integrates with Rivio

Rochester Sensors TEK 888
+ Rivio Fleet Dashboard.

The TEK 888 is a LoRaWAN 915MHz ultrasonic tank level sensor — the North American LoRa frequency variant from Rochester Sensors. Long-range, low-power, and cost-effective for monitoring tanks in rural, remote, or large-site environments. Pair it with Rivio to aggregate all your LoRa sensor readings into a live cloud fleet dashboard.

What Is the TEK 888?

The TEK 888 operates on the 915MHz LoRaWAN frequency used in North America. A single LoRa gateway can receive data from dozens of TEK 888 sensors spread across a site or region. Combined with Rivio's cloud platform, this creates a scalable, cost-effective tank monitoring solution.

📡

LoRaWAN 915MHz — North America

Uses the 915MHz band standard for LoRaWAN in the US and Canada. Long-range signal covers km-scale distances from a single gateway.

🔊

Non-Contact Ultrasonic Level

Measures from the tank top without contacting the liquid — water, chemicals, fuel, or other liquids — reliably without moving parts.

💡

Low Power — Years of Battery Life

LoRa's low-power protocol extends battery life to several years in typical deployments — reducing field maintenance across large sensor estates.

🌐

Integrates with LoRaWAN Infrastructure

Works with public LoRaWAN networks (Helium, TTN) or private LoRa gateways. Rivio receives data from the network server via API.

How TEK 888 + Rivio Works

01

TEK 888 Measures the Tank

Mounted on top of the tank, the TEK 888 fires an ultrasonic pulse and measures level without touching the liquid — continuously and reliably.

02

LoRa Carries Data to the Cloud

The 915MHz LoRa radio transmits readings to a nearby gateway. The network server forwards data to Rivio's API — no cellular SIM at the sensor.

03

Rivio Shows Your Full Fleet

Live levels for every TEK 888 tank, plus GPS for mobile assets, job state, alerts when levels drop, and historical consumption reports.

Where TEK 888 + Rivio Is Deployed

🌾

Agriculture & Rural Sites

Monitor fuel, chemical, and water tanks at farm sites and rural properties where cellular is weak but LoRa provides coverage.

⛽

Remote Fuel Storage

Track diesel and fuel tanks at remote compressor stations, generator pads, and off-grid industrial sites.

💧

Water Tanks & Cisterns

Monitor potable water tanks, irrigation cisterns, and rainwater collection — ideal for low-cost high-density water monitoring.

🏭

Large Industrial Sites

A single LoRa gateway can cover dozens of tanks across a large plant or depot — cost-effective for high-density tank estates.

⚗️

Chemical & Process Storage

LoRa monitoring for process chemical tanks, additive vessels, and reagent storage in plant environments.

🚛

Bulk Distribution Depots

Track multiple bulk liquid tanks at distribution depots — one gateway, many TEK 888 sensors, all feeding into Rivio.
