Is Rivio a direct replacement for the Xpert Alert WiFi?
Yes. Rivio replaces the Xpert Alert WiFi for tank monitoring applications. It provides everything the WiFi alarm does plus continuous level data, automated scheduling, and cellular connectivity.
Can I reuse my existing float switches with Rivio?
In many cases, yes. Industry-standard float switches are compatible with Rivio transmitters. We verify compatibility during the assessment phase.
The Xpert Alert WiFi has no monthly fees. Does Rivio?
The Xpert Alert WiFi uses your own WiFi network, so there's no connectivity cost. Rivio includes cellular data in its monitoring plan. Contact us for pricing tailored to your fleet.
Can Rivio monitor more than 2 alarm points per tank?
Yes. Unlike the Xpert Alert WiFi's 2-input limit, Rivio monitors support continuous level measurement — not just discrete alarm points.
Does Rivio work in areas with poor cell service?
Rivio uses multi-carrier LTE modules optimized for remote areas. In locations with no cellular coverage, we offer satellite-backhaul options.
How does Rivio handle power outages?
Rivio monitors include battery backup and will continue reporting tank levels and sending alerts during power outages — unlike the Xpert Alert WiFi which depends on both power and WiFi.
