The TEK 822 is an ATEX intrinsically safe cellular LPG and propane data logger (C1D1) that attaches directly to a propane tank's dial gauge — reading level without drilling or liquid contact. Over CAT-M1/NB-IoT, it feeds level data straight to the cloud. Pair with Rivio for fleet-wide LPG monitoring, delivery scheduling, and automated runout prevention.
The TEK 822 (also called TEK Gas) clips onto a standard LPG/propane tank dial gauge and reads the level optically — no drilling, no contact with the gas. The ATEX C1D1 certification makes it safe for propane and other flammable gas environments. It transmits via NB-IoT/CAT-M1 to the cloud. The TEK 822 is also a core component in the TEK 871 combined unit.
No drilling, no tank modification. The TEK 822 clamps to the existing propane or LPG tank dial gauge and reads the needle position optically.
Certified safe for propane, butane, LPG, and other flammable gas environments. Meets ATEX and C1D1 requirements for hazardous area deployment.
Built-in LTE cellular transmits readings from remote propane storage and bulk LPG tanks — no local Wi-Fi or wiring needed.
Battery-powered for easy field deployment on remote propane tanks. Configurable reporting interval to maximise battery life.

Installed on the tank's existing dial gauge, it optically reads the propane or LPG level without any contact with the gas — safe, non-invasive, and quick to install.
Readings transmit over CAT-M1/NB-IoT from remote field locations, bulk storage sites, and LPG distribution tanks direct to Rivio's cloud.
Live levels across all tanks on a map. Low-level alerts prevent runouts. Fill history drives delivery scheduling. Every tank visible from one dashboard.

Monitor customer propane tanks remotely. Alert drivers when tanks hit the delivery threshold — no more manual site visits or surprise runouts.
Track hundreds of residential and commercial propane accounts from one Rivio dashboard. Prioritise deliveries by level, not by calendar.
Pair TEK 822 data with Rivio GPS tracking on delivery trucks — know which tanks need filling and dispatch the nearest bobtail.
Battery-powered with LTE transmission. TEK 822 works on off-grid rural propane tanks where no other connectivity is available.
Monitor large bulk propane tanks at industrial facilities, forklifts, agricultural operations, and processing plants.
Rivio's fill and drain logs create a complete consumption record per tank — useful for billing verification and regulatory compliance.
Yes. The TEK 822 is also marketed as 'TEK Gas' — an ATEX/C1D1 cellular LPG and propane logger that attaches to the tank's existing dial gauge.
The TEK 871 combines the TEK 822 (propane gauge logger) with the TEK 865 data logger into one integrated cellular ultrasonic unit. The TEK 822 is also available standalone for propane dial gauge applications.
It attaches non-invasively to the existing dial gauge. No drilling or tank modification is required. The ATEX/C1D1 certification covers hazardous gas environments.
Rivio monitors every TEK 822 reading and fires SMS, email, or push alerts when any tank drops below your defined threshold — so dispatchers can act before customers run out.
Yes. Rivio handles mixed sensor fleets. TEK 822 LPG tanks and TEK 811 liquid level sensors are all visible in the same dashboard.
